ELEANOR

I named this piece “Eleanor” because of her resonance. Eleanor is a name which just popped into my mind upon the ceramic completion. When I looked up the name meaning after I was done, its name is derived from the Hebrew element ‘el’ meaning ‘god’ and ‘or’ meaning light. So, the name means God is my Light or God is my candle.  My gifted brother-in-law; architectural artist, helped create the attached wood and rock structure; both coming from the land where I live.  It is a strength that is needed, with the light.  This is my personal favorite of all the ceramic creations so far.
